Faro Mine Site

Faro, Yukon

Reclamation Support Project

Mueller Enterprises Ltd. supported the ongoing environmental reclamation of the Faro Mine Site—one of Canada’s largest and most complex mine cleanup projects. Our team provided key electrical infrastructure to power critical water treatment systems and ensure operational reliability in a challenging northern landscape.

1MW Backup Power Installation

To support essential reclamation operations, Mueller supplied and installed a 1MW backup generator. This system provides reliable emergency power to maintain critical site functions during outages or peak demand periods.

Cross Valley Pond Water Treatment Plant (WTP)

Mueller completed the full electrical installation for the Cross Valley Pond WTP, designed to treat runoff during the annual spring freshet. This facility plays a vital role in controlling water quality and protecting downstream ecosystems during periods of high flow.

Diversion Seepage Interception System (DVSIS)

Mueller also delivered the electrical installation for the Diversion Seepage Interception System. Due to the site’s complex layout of streams and ponds, we worked with our partners to install overhead power lines using custom pole structures. These lines safely spanned the site’s water features to provide consistent power to submerged well locations—ensuring system reliability in otherwise hard-to-reach areas.
